“It’s therapy set to electrifying guitar riffs and a voice that shimmers like broken glass. Savannah’s vocal elegance will give you chills.”
- Voxwave
“It’s a prayer, a confession, a promise, and pure sex in your headphones.”
- Soundville
“Accessible yet complex, lending a voice to anyone who feels they were born in the wrong generation - or on the wrong planet.”
- Vice
“Spanning from piano-set vocal theatrics to a charismatic symphonic rock vigor, “Pandemonium” is a showcase in lyrical sincerity and eclectic stylistic precision.”
- Obscure Sound
“Abject beauty and mesmerising clarity - such is the hypnotic allure of Savannah’s intimacy. Yes, she’s singing only for you.”
- From the Bottom of the Record Box
“Her songs are leaded with lyricism and unsurmountable vocal prowess. She is not a propped-up talent but a stone cold powerhouse.”
- Staccotofy
“Savannah Pope doesn’t just put on a show — she puts on a full-fledged, full-blown theatrical spectacle. Her operatic vocals split the sky like thunder as she resolves to emerge like a brightly plumed phoenix from the ashes.”
- LA Weekly
“Many music videos are slick, soulless, product-placement-crammed promos, but some transcend crass commercialism and stand alone as true works of visual art. The dazzling and dizzying "Creature" by Los Angeles glam goddess Pope has everything (Stefon from SNL voice): Icarus wings, creepy clown kids, gold body paint, powdered wigs, and Ann Wilson-level rock vocals. Independent artist Pope spent a full year animating the video, frame by frame, and it was worth it.”
- Yahoo! Entertainment
“Pope's remarkable voice moves from the deepest notes of despair to the highest tones, all with emotion and punch. Talent like this only comes along once in a blue moon.”
- California Rocker
“This dynamic artist is something else. Savannah coaxes you to the edges of ice cliffs, with the expectation of death! (Then) her voice rips you apart, as all the cells within you burst with happiness.”
- Come Here Floyd
“Pope’s music blends a classic rock with a unique glam-centric creative sensibility. There’s no mistaking the power or range of Savannah’s astonishing, instantly recognisable pipes. There’s simply no-one like her in music today. Skin Back Alley’s new favourite thing in the entire musical cosmos? You betcha.”
- Skin Back Alley
"Incredible voice. Her videos really have to be seen to be believed."
- York Calling
“Stunning and unique!”
- LA Art Nerd
“Savannah Pope has a voice the size of Texas. The guitar solos are beautifully moving. The synergy gives me goosebumps.”
- Glacially Musical
“Savannah starts out like Hope Sandoval and rises beyond Ann Wilson. Really powerful stuff!”
- In 30 Minutes
‘Progressively minded, musically accomplished…something akin to the spirit of early Queen.”
- Powerplay Magazine
BIO
Savannah Pope is an award winning Art Rock meets Dark Pop artist from Los Angeles. Named Best Rock Performer by LA Weekly and one of this generation’s Top Video Artists by Yahoo! Entertainment, she’s known for her vocally, lyrically, and visually mind-bending work. Paired onstage with such artists as Lzzy Hale , Ringo Starr and Badflower, she has spent the last several years cultivating a following of dedicated outcast fans galvanized by her ethos of “Live Your Strange”.
Savannah recently wrapped “Pandemonium,” her very personal concept album about mental illness and the stigmas surrounding it. The entire album (along with a video series and tour) was crowdfunded on Kickstarter and produced by Nine Inch Nails / 3TEETH / No Doubt Hitmaker Sean Beavan. The album’s singles began releasing in February with "Melancholic Goddess", to be followed in March by "Freeway" and "Big Black Hole" at the top of May. The single releases are scheduled to continue with a single release each month until the full album drops this summer!
